ISLAMIC ECONOMICS provides knowledge of the concept on the Islamic economic system & how it differs from a conventional economic system. Emphasize on the management & implementation of an economic system based on the human natural tendency. Provides knowledge & a correct perspective on how to create an environment of economic growth & development based on Islamic principles.
FIQH MUAMALAT course exposes students to the concepts & principles of Shariah, source of Shariah, Usul FIqh, Qawaid Fiqhiyyah, Ijtihad, Muamalat & Khiyar. Throughout this course the theory, classification & elements in Islamic contract involving parties & its subject matter are described. It also introduces the concepts of Zakah, Gharar, Riba & Maisir in the light of teaching of the Holy Quran, Hadith, Ijma 'Ulama' & Qiyas.

It examines various factors that determine the effectiveness of the retailer’s communication and the choice of appropriate promotional goals to identify the suitable messages and tools to be delivered to the consumers.

PLANTING DESIGN introduces the components and the importance of plants in
design. This course covers the arrangement of plant material in landscape design and
the different types of planting community. Students are required to propose planting
plan which includes selecting and arranging plants, planting schedule, planting
details, specifications and bills of quantity.
LANDSCAPE COMPUTER GRAPHIC is a course that enables students to demonstrate their ability to design by using the application of design software. It includes the procedure to create, merge and embed drawings with other images to help visualize the overall design using various computer graphic tools. At the end of the course, students will be capable to produce a landscape design drawing in 2D and 3D using appropriate graphics software.
FINAL PROJECT demonstrates the student’s highest ability in carrying out study related to landscape horticultural practices. It involves a small scale project which result to an implementation and a final report writing. Through this process, students gain valuable experience and practice to construct and completing their final project.
BIOPROCESS TECHNOLOGY introduces students to the theoretical and practical aspects of bioprocessing. Starting with the kinetics of microbial growth, students will also be given an exposure to the operation of bioreactors and have to run a series of experiments involving various types of processes and conditions. Besides that, students will also need to carry out downstream activities of bioprocess production such as extraction and purification.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP focuses the principles and concept of entrepreneurship. This
course concentrates on the systematic methods of getting business ideas. This
course also prepares students on conducting online business using social media
marketing. It also emphasizes a preparation of business plan and developing their
BIOLOGY OF ORGANISMS introduces students to cell as a basic unit of life, aerobic and anaerobic respiration and the five-kingdom systems: Kingdom Monera, Kingdom Protista, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Plantae and Kingdom Animalia. This course also covers variations, evolution, reproduction and growth of plants and mammals, ecology, biochemical cycle as well as impacts of human activities on biosphere.
CHEMISTRY provides students with theoretical knowledge and laboratory experience in a range of topics in chemistry including the atomic structure, periodic table, chemical bonds, chemical reactions, anion and cation and the behavior of gases. In addition, students will also be introduced to the common concepts and terminologies associated with the field of chemistry.
BIOETHICS AND BIOSAFETY introduces laboratory hazard management and good laboratory practices in biotechnology lab and address the social and ethical issues arise from genetic technologies usage. It also highlights the intellectual property and patenting law in research products.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY is a theoretical and tutorial - based study that guides
the students to produce a well written research proposal in the field of biotechnology.
It outlines the basic principles involved in the selection and choice of a research
topic, the scope of the research, planning the research and research methodology. At
the end of the study, a project proposal will be presented for evaluation purposes.
BIOSTATISTICS provides both theoretical knowledge and practical examples in the
following areas: statistical analyses – probability concepts, parametric hypothesis
testing, probability distributions, sampling, regression and correlation; and quality
management, quality assurance and quality control. Statistical tests are carried out,
evaluated and interpreted to maintain quality standards.
COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH 1 focuses on developing
students’ speaking skills to enable them to communicate effectively and
confidently in group discussions and in a variety of social interactions. It is
designed to provide students with appropriate reading skills to comprehend a
variety of texts. The students are equipped with effective presentation skills
as a preparation for academic and work purposes.

SAINS, TEKNOLOGI DAN KEJURUTERAAN DALAM ISLAM memberi

konsep sains, teknologi dan kejuruteraan dalam Islam serta impaknya, pencapaiannya
dalam tamadun Islam, prinsip serta peranan syariah dan etika Islam, peranan kaedah
fiqh serta aplikasinya
COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH 3 aims to develop the necessary skills in students to carry out a mini project as well as job hunting. Students will learn to present ideas through the use of graphs and charts. Students will learn the process of job hunting which includes job search strategies and making enquiries. They will also learn to write resumes and cover letters. The students will develop skills to introduce themselves, highlight their strengths and abilities, present ideas, express opinions and respond appropriately during job interviews.
ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS 1 exposes students to the basic algebra including resolve partial fractions. This course also covers the concept of trigonometry and the method to solve trigonometry problems by using basic identities, compound angle and double angle formulae. Students will be introduced to the theory of complex number and concept of vector and scalar. Students will explore advanced matrices involving 3x3 matrix.
