emphasizes on the knowledge and the ability to handle statistical data and interpret
them effectively. This course also provides understanding on how to apply statistical

BUSINESS PROJECT provides students with an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills on how to construct new ideas and provide solutions to current issues or challenges faced by businesses. ISLAMIC FINANCIAL PLANNING course is designed to enable students to develop an appreciation of Islamic financial planning. In this course, students are provided with an outline of each of the major concerns of a financial planner as preparation for the basic study to be covered in the other courses. This module prepares students towards becoming a competent financial planner.
ETHICS IN ISLAM exposes the students to the basic knowledge on the code of
ethics in Islamic financial institutions. It comprises of banking ethics, internal control
and conflicts in banking system, Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance, the
regulatory and supervisory framework as well as the Bank Negara Shariah
ISLAMIC ACCOUNTING is designed to provide a comprehensive and practical knowledge on Islamic Accounting for Islamic Financial Institutions in Malaysia and worldwide. It also highlights the relevant standards, policies, regulations related to the Islamic Accounting in the Malaysian context based on Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB). This course contents include accounting for partnership and sales contract such as Mudharabah, Musharakah, Bai’ Bithaman Ajil, Ijarah and Zakah.
FIQH MUAMALAT course exposes students to the concepts and principles of Shariah, Usual Fish, Qawaid Fiqhiyah, Ijtihad, Muamalat and Khiyar.
Throughout this course, the theory, classification and elements in Islamic contract involving parties and its subject matter are described.
It also introduces the concepts of Zakah, Gharar, Riba and Maisir in the light of teaching of the Holy Quran, Hadith, Ijma' Ulama' and Qiyas.
TAKAFUL propose students with the importance of insurance principles. It comprises knowledge of the takaful in Malaysia which covers risk and insurance, fundamentals and principles of takaful, takaful industry in Malaysia, legal aspects of takaful, types of takaful plans, general principles of underwriting and claims and finally takaful planning.
ISLAMIC INVESTMENT course provides comprehensive overview of Islamic
investment to identify regulatory and standard-setting bodies related to Islamic
investment activities. It comprises concepts of Islamic bond (sukuk), characteristics
and risks underlying sukuk and also discusses types of financial instruments,
concepts and calculation of risk and return in investment, types of investment
analysis, equity valuation methods and securitization.

EXPORT IMPORT DOCUMENTATION AND PROCEDURES course provides knowledge to students in customs, export import documentation and procedures. This course exposes students to the relevant export and import documentation and the procedures are being used currently, information on export and import industries in the world and the export and import methods. Definitions of key words and terms used in the documents of import and export activities are also explained.
INTRODUCTION TO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS provides an overview of
how international business is conducted by taking into consideration various
mechanism for dealing with governments and the changing political landscape,
different business laws and regulations, local customs and culture. This course
fulfills the need to ensure that students are well versed in global operations.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT provides knowledge of concept in operations management. This course emphasizes operations management and productivity, product design, plant location strategies, layout and process strategies, forecasting and aggregate planning, work measurement, supply chain and inventory management, project management and maintenance, quality management concept and sustainability.
RETAIL BUYING course exposes students to retail environment and buying
merchandise. This course also prepare the students with the knowledge in purchasing
and inventory control as well as method of pricing and promotion of merchandise.
SYNOPSIS: MERCHANDISING MATHS FOR RETAILING designed for those who need to strengthen their skills in retail math. It introduces the essential principles and techniques of merchandising mathematics and explains how to apply them in solving everyday retail merchandising.
INTRODUCTION TO RETAILING is an overview of retailing concept to the students. It covers the concept, nature scope, functions and overview of retail mix as well as the ethics and career in retailing.
CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR is a social psychology applied to consumption situations. This situation includes buying, selling, using and disposing consumer goods and services. At the end of the course, students should possess a working knowledge of attitude, perception, consumer’s decision making process and external factors that influence consumer behaviour.
Retail Customer Service covers the understanding of customer service concept, communication in customer service, handling customer complaint, the challenges of customer services, customer retention and measurement of customer satisfaction and technology in customer service.
COMPUTER APPLICATIONS provides students with a packages of multimedia software
such as graphics, sounds, video editing and also application software such as
word processor, spreadsheet, presentations, email applications. Students will
have an exposure on how to integrate elements of multimedia and will be guided
in use of application software.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM provides basic knowledge on database concept and database management system. This course emphasize on creating database and developing database application system using Database Management System software. It also requires applied knowledge obtained from course to design, develop, modify, implement and maintain the database systems. It will emphasize on the profound database models as a guide to create a stable database systems underlying most of the application.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT focuses the usage of Information Technology (IT) tools and application for Supply Chain Management (SCM). The role of communication technologies in making Information Technology as an enabler of SCM in addressing a range of different point and enterprise solutions in a variety of supply chain. This course design to provide understanding and skills of students in computer technologies in SCM.
This course combined the use of computer and information technology to improve organizational decision making by analyzing their business and customer. This course allows the student to have a good understanding of the decision support system concept, methodology and technology and recognizing process involved in system development and acquisition and knowledge management.
WEB DEVELOPMENT provides students with the basic concept of web and mobile environment.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. Project management brings a unique focus shaped by the goals, resources and schedule of each project.
E-COMMERCE is a course that provides introduction of running business through
electronics. This course allows student to have a good understanding in
classifying of e-commerce, e-commerce business model and concept e-commerce
infrastructure and internet, building an e-commerce website, e-commerce
marketing concept and communication, risk of insecure system and e-commerce
security. It also explores the online retailing and services and online content and
media in e-commerce.
FINAL YEAR PROJECT will be implemented in a
group. Each group will work on a project under lecturer(s) supervision. Project
titles will be specialization based and focusing on system and website
development. Each student will be assessed independently
COMMUNICATION introduces the concepts of business Information Technologies and
computer systems. This course provides students the knowledge of distributed
data processing, internet base application, data communication concept and
local area network. It also explores the security, ethics and regulation issues
in business area.
PHOTOGRAPHY course covers the concept of digital photography, the importance of resolution and the process of digital images. Students will implement the principle of digital photographic, apply the techniques of working with layout, file and color management to produce images. The course requires the students to produce a project that comprises all the technical skills.

MECHANIZATION IN LANDSCAPE HORTICULTURE is a course that covers
machinery, hand tools and power tools commonly used in landscape horticultural
industry. It also exposes students with simple internal combustion engine working
principles. It introduces common tools and machinery for landscape operation and
maintenance. This course also emphasize on safety measures during handling of the
LANDSCAPE COMPUTER GRAPHIC introduces the application of design softwares for presentation through computer. It includes the procedure to create, merge and embed drawings with other images to help visualize the overall design using various computer graphic tools. This course also trains the student to create a landscape design in 2D and 3D using appropriate graphics software.
Welcome to Nursery Operation course
LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION provides an opportunity for students to have hands-on experience in implementing landscape installation works on site. Students will carry out site preparation, measurement work and develop the site according to the landscape master plan. This requires an in-depth understanding of landscape installation for both hardscape and softscape works.
FINAL PROJECT demonstrates the student’s highest ability in carrying out study related to landscape horticultural practices. It involves a small scale project which result to an implementation and a final report writing. Through this process, students gain valuable experience and practice to construct and completing their final project.
LANDSCAPE SITE DESIGN provides students to demonstrate their ability to design open spaces and small garden through proper landscape design process. The course will focus on generating conceptual ideas for designing the landscape site. Through this process, students will produce their landscape master plan and details drawing. It also includes presentation of the design graphically and verbally.
INTRODUCTION TO LANDSCAPE HORTICULTURE aims to explore
understanding and appreciation of some major contributions and development of
landscape horticulture industry, its potential profession and expected attributes of
landscape horticulturists. This course introduces student to the related professional
bodies and their responsibilities, laws, code of ethics related to landscape horticultural
practices. It also exposes the students to the contribution of landscape horticulture to
the environment, economy, social and culture in Malaysia. It incorporates the
Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) approach in its training towards
sustainable and environmental based curriculum.
LANDSCAPE ENGINEERING introduces the principles of landscape engineering
work which includes basic earthworks, irrigation, drainage, piping, lighting and water
features. This course covers broad classification of equipment and its
implementation. It also introduces elements and components of landscape
LANDSCAPE DETAILS DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATION AND ESTIMATION
LANDSCAPE COMPUTER GRAPHIC is a course that enables students to
demonstrate their ability to design by using the application of design software. It
includes the procedure to create, merge and embed drawings with other images to help
visualize the overall design using various computer graphic tools. At the end of the
course, students will be capable to produce a landscape design drawing in 2D and 3D
using appropriate graphics software.
CELL AND TISSUE CULTURE TECHNOLOGY introduces students to the structure, growth and function of plant and animal cells. The course focus on the technical requirements and media preparations for the culture processes, and discusses various factors affecting the growth of cell and tissue culture. The course also discusses the applications of tissue culture technology in agriculture, and applications of stem cells for agriculture and therapeutic purposes.
BIOLOGY OF ORGANISMS introduces students to cell as a basic unit of life,
aerobic and anaerobic respiration and the five-kingdom systems: Kingdom Monera,
Kingdom Protista, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Plantae and Kingdom Animalia. This
course also covers variations, evolution, reproduction and growth of plants and
mammals, ecology, biochemical cycle as well as impacts of human activities on
CHEMISTRY provides students with theoretical knowledge and laboratory experience in a range of topics in chemistry including the atomic structure, periodic table, chemical bonds, chemical reactions, anion and cation and the behavior of gases. In addition, students will also be introduced to the common concepts and terminologies associated with the field of chemistry

BIOSTATISTICS provides both theoretical knowledge and practical examples in the
following areas: statistical analyses – probability concepts, parametric hypothesis
testing, probability distributions, sampling, regression and correlation; and quality
management, quality assurance and quality control. Statistical tests are carried out,
evaluated and interpreted to maintain quality standards.
ENGINEERING SCIENCE course introduces the physical concepts required in engineering disciplines. Students will learn the knowledge of fundamental physics in order to identify and solve engineering physics problems. Students will be able to perform experiments and activities to mastery physics concepts.
COMPUTER APPLICATION exposes students to different packages of applications software such as word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, internet security and digital etiquette. This course mainly emphasize on the practical aspects of using applications software and awareness in digital world activity. Students will develop teamwork and leadership skills to present ideas and organize project. Students are able to use the information and technology skill attained in future.
ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS 2 exposes students to the basic laws of indices
and logarithms. This course introduces the basic rules of differentiation concepts to
solve problems that relates maximum, minimum and calculate the rates of changes.
This course discusses integration concepts in order to strengthen student’s knowledge
for solving area and volume bounded region problems. In addition, students will learn
application of both techniques of differentiation and integration.
ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS 3 exposes students to the statistical and probability
concepts and their applications in interpreting data. The course also introduces
numerical methods concept to solve simultaneous equations by using Gaussian
Elimination method, LU Decomposition using Doolittle and Crout methods,
polynomial problems using Simple Fixed Point Iteration and Newton-Raphson
methods. In additional, the course also discusses optimization problems by using
Linear Programming. In order to strengthen the students in solving advanced
engineering problems, Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) is also included.
